Travis Kelce is the greatest surprise of my life, says Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has hailed Travis Kelce as the "greatest surprise" of her life.

The 35-year-old pop singer got engaged to the NFL star earlier this year, and in a new clip from her upcoming The End of an Era docuseries, Taylor has shed more light on their romance.

The blonde beauty - who has previously dated the likes of Harry Styles, Calvin Harris and Joe Alwyn - says: "The most meaningful relationship I’ve ever had started with a man saying he was butthurt that I didn’t wanna meet him.

"Greatest surprise of my life."

Taylor also jokingly compared her music career to Travis' sporting career.

She quipped: "We both entertain people. His with considerably more violence than mine."

What's more, the preview features a phone call between Taylor and Travis.

Taylor said: "You’ve got teammates, I’ve got teammates ... You’ve got coach [Andy] Reid, I’ve got … my mom."

Travis, 36, previously revealed that he wanted to meet Taylor after watching her perform at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. However, he didn't get the opportunity to give Taylor a friendship bracelet because she didn’t meet with any fans after the show.

Speaking on his New Heights podcast, Travis previously explained: "I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her."

Travis began dating Taylor in 2023, and Patrick Mahomes - Travis' teammate at the Kansas City Chiefs - subsequently claimed that the singer has helped to make the NFL franchise a "worldwide team".

Patrick told Time magazine: "[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor’s fanbase."

Patrick also admitted to being impressed by Taylor's work ethic.

The 30-year-old star observed that the pop singer is "never not working".

He said: "I’ve met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor’s probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for that long.

"She’s never not working. Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks."
